'The time we spend with our children will be their memory tomorrow' 2026

We have talked many times about the importance of spending time with our little ones. And the fact is that the number of hours we spend with them has nothing to do with the way we care for them and, sometimes, spending many hours with them is not at the same time beneficial for their development.

What is known as "quality time" helps us create bonds of love with our children, helps us know how to identify their needs, and get to know them better (and vice versa).

Sometimes parenthood brings with it a lot of stress, especially if our daily task is to focus on household chores and taking care of our little ones. Not knowing how to care for them correctly, not being able to have the house as tidy as we would like,... there are many worries that invade us when a baby comes into our lives.

A few days ago, Esther Anderson, one of all those mothers who dedicate all their time to caring for their children, shared a text on social networks talking about this that has now gone viral. Along with the text, she shared an image that identifies many of us as soon as we see it: a mother trying to calm her baby while the entire house is in chaos waiting to be picked up. Does it sound familiar to you? To us a lot!

The most beautiful thing about the text is the final reflection that this mother makes and that is what we have to engrave in our minds: “the memories that our children have one day will not be of how overflowing the house was and of the few clothes that returned to take their place in the drawers, but they will be of the moments we spend with them.” Without a doubt, a very clear call to the need to listen to our little ones and spend time with them.

The reflection has already gone viral: it has more than 16,000 interactions on Facebook and millions of comments from other mothers.
