Boy or girl?
How many times have we talked with our partner about the sex of our future children? Countless, right? And there are almost always disputes regarding this topic even though we can't do anything to choose it, or maybe we can (or so popular culture says). Popular beliefs that revolve around the prediction of baby sexuality are many and very disparate, but their reliability is not certain. Even so, it can be a fun way to play to find out the news before knowing for sure if our child will be a boy or a girl.
But, if you have tried them, have any of these methods worked for you? Could it be a coincidence?
Chinese table
The Chinese chart is one of the oldest and most widespread methods for predicting the sexuality of the baby, it is based on the lunar age of the mother at the time she became pregnant and the month in which the baby was conceived. Apparently this table was used more than 700 years ago and was found by a Chinese scientist in a tomb of a royal family.
The shape of the gut
According to our popular culture, depending on the shape of the pregnant woman's stomach, we can know if the baby will be a boy or a girl. If it is rounded or if your baby is placed facing up, it will be a girl and if, on the other hand, your child is placed face down and your tummy is more pointed, it will be a boy. Or so grandmas say...
Depending on what you eat
If what you want is to have a child, some cultures assure that if you eat more meat and more salty foods such as French fries before conception, you will achieve your goal. On the other hand, if what you are looking for is a girl, it is assumed that the best foods to eat are sweets such as chocolate, vegetables, and fish.
We do not understand the correlation of nutrition with the sex of the baby and we do not trust it, however, what we do believe is that to have a good pregnancy and a healthy baby our diet must always be balanced, so you know, eat everything but without excesses.
Even or odd days
Another legend, apparently Mayan but not known for sure, states that if the day you conceived your child and your age are even or odd numbers, it will be a girl, but if they do not coincide, it will be a boy.
app
For parents who cannot wait for the ultrasound, they have the option of using a series of mobile applications that will help overcome this uncertainty. To find them, just enter "boy or girl pregnancy test" and there will be a variety of them to try your luck.
We don't know to what extent they can be reliable, but if they help you wait for the ultrasound... welcome!
Other beliefs
As we have seen, the rumors that circulate about how to know the sex of our children are multiple. According to other traditions, making love on even or full moon days will make it easier to conceive a girl.
According to the Shettles method, to have a male the penetrations must be deeper and somewhat less for a female. This system also states that for your baby to be a girl you must try to have sexual relations from the end of menstruation to three days before ovulation.
We remind you that at Ser Padres we do not trust any of these popular beliefs since they do not have a scientific basis, however, we find them very curious and fun to "play" at guessing the sex of the baby.
