At just two months old, this baby greets his parents by saying 'hello' 2026

Few things are as exciting in life as a child's first words. One of the most special moments for parents and one that they will always remember. That little war between someone who claims it was "mom" and who testifies that it was not, that in reality he first said "dad" is part of the anecdotes of many families. But the truth is that often there is no clear winner, because the baby ends up saying "garlic" and even "hello" first...

Kerry Clark III, or as his family lovingly and tenderly calls him, Kerr Bear, was born on May 11 and had only been out of his mother's womb for two months when he left his entire family with their mouths open in a video call on the iPhone application, Facetime, nothing more nor less than after responding to a greeting from his parents with a clear 'hi', an English word that means 'hello' in Spanish.

Upon hearing what their baby had just said, the parents could not hide their astonishment and admiration and burst out laughing while trying to get him to say the word again. Attention was focused on the little boy, who was not aware of the joy he had sparked among his loved ones. And 'Hi' may be a very simple word, but after this event it will be remembered tenderly for a long time by the family of little Kerr Bear.

The child's mother, Shakiemah, explained to the American media Caters that "we are a military family that lives away from their family and we have a YouTube channel in which we usually share moments of our lives as a way of maintaining contact with them through videos."

When do babies start talking?

When does the big event usually occur? The baby begins to speak his first words towards the end of the first year of life, between approximately 18 and 24 months. Hence the enormous surprise of Shakiemah and Antonio, a couple from Humble, Texas when their barely two-month-old son greeted them back.
