The 10 best-selling dolls in Spain (clues for Christmas) 2026

Economic data can help us decide what toy to give our child. 1 in 6 toys bought in Spain are dolls, so we have compiled the top 10 best-selling dolls, according to the latest data from the market research company The NPD Group.

By country there are many differences when choosing toys for children. In Germany, construction varies considerably between countries, but every year the Spanish market takes the lead. “If we also take into account the growth that the segment is experiencing in the first part of the year, as well as its seasonality, we can estimate that the doll segment will reach the level of 2014 at the end of 2017,” adds Fernando Pérez.

Until August, toy sales grew by 7.1% in Spain, reaching 283 million euros. The sale of dolls has contributed to more than half of this increase, with an increase in turnover of 26.5%, exceeding 46 million euros. “We are experiencing a boom time for all types of dolls, although in general terms, traditional dolls, from recognized brands, continue in leading positions,” he comments.

It seems that the dolls are dethroning the classic Barbies that are asking for a change of image. "However, the types of product suffer cyclical variations: we are now experiencing a period of strong growth in mini-dolls/stages, which in some cases have an important collection component. These are increasing to the detriment of the classic mannequin doll, which after the boom experienced a few years ago, has once again given way to the most classic formats of all time: Nancy, Princesses, Barbie... The doll market mannequin doll seems to be crying out for a new groundbreaking concept, either along the lines of heroines or new developments linked to fashion with daring formats,” he adds.

The most emotional thing about this ranking of the best-selling dolls in our country is that the market-leading doll is supportive.
