An author of whom this expert considers herself an absolute fan because of the ability that these books have to transmit positive messages to children. Do you want to know what they are? We will tell you about it below.

Among Beatriz Millán's selection are the books La Ballena and La Ballena en Invierno. In both, the protagonist is a boy named Noe and he lives in a fishing village with his father, who is dedicated to fishing. In The Whale, the story tells how Noe finds a whale stranded on the beach and decides to take it home, until his father discovers it and makes him understand that its natural habitat is the sea and not the bathtub at home. A book that has, not only beautiful illustrations, but very positive messages about nature and the respect that must be given to it from a very early age.

The Whale in Winter, for its part, is a story in which karma is also the protagonist. And when we take care of nature, nature takes care of us. As? In this case, nature helps Noe rescue his father who has been trapped in a storm at sea. Also present in this book is the respect and love that we must have for the sea and the environment.

In Great Friends, there is also no shortage of constructive messages for our little ones. On this occasion that message revolves around friendship who, after the arrival of a third party, begin to have anger and quarrels until the friendship fits into the new trio. This situation can and does happen in real life, so this book can help us know if our children have felt or feel this way.

Grandfather's Island is another of the books selected by Beatriz Millán. This tells the special relationship that a child has with his grandfather. A grandfather who is also a traveler and adventurer thanks to the fact that his house becomes a boat, until one day he decides to stay on an island and not return... Without a doubt, the hidden message in this book is death, which is part of life and which this title presents as a journey. Knowing how to say goodbye and farewell to this child and his grandfather helps us teach our children that nothing lasts forever.

Finally, The Bird and the Grandmother returns to the story of Noe - from The Whale and The Whale in Winter - and his grandmother. This book tells about how Noah has to take refuge on a rock after the arrival of a storm in which he finds and takes care of a helpless little bird. So much so that Noe himself puts himself in danger until his grandmother comes to rescue him and the little bird. Once again, Benji Davies gives us in this book a good example of how to care for and protect nature and how rewarding and fruitful the relationship between grandchildren and grandparents can be.

All of these books are a perfect bridge between books that are for very young children and those that are adapted to early readers, since they have little text and a lot of illustrations, and they send beautiful messages about family, friendship, nature... which are essential in the development of our little ones. Which one do you stay with?
