This is how children around the world prepare for Santa's visit 2026

The arrival of the Christmas season is magical for many things. But, especially if we have children at home, magic will be one of the main ingredients these days. And it will be because his enthusiasm and his innocence cross borders. So many that we were impressed with their kindness, their imagination and their solidarity.

They demonstrate the latter in many ways: there are many who put gifts for others in their magic cards (and this makes our hearts expand). But they also demonstrate it when preparing for the arrival of Santa Claus: he cannot miss a little food to replenish his strength after such a busy night!

So, they are the ones who ask us to leave them sweets, milk or cookies so they can eat something. Some children even remember the reindeer and ask to leave some straw and a bucket full of water so they don't get tired.

But, did you know that Santa Claus tries all the world's cuisine during his visits to different countries? And, as we know, the climate we have in Spain is not the same as what we have in Russia, for example: it is much colder there and needs something stronger to warm up.

Although, as we say, here we follow the tradition of the United States and leave some cookies or sweets with milk to our beloved Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men, the different traditions that we have found can help you innovate a little in this very atypical Christmas. Maybe they will be surprised when they see that you have changed the milk for... beer? Came?

What does Santa Claus eat around the world?

We have investigated and we have discovered the five most curious things that children leave for Santa Claus around the world to give them strength.

For example, in Australia you are invited to have beer and cookies, since Christmas is in summer there and, of course, you need to drink something cool to recover from the heat.

However, in England it is typical to opt for a small glass of white wine. Because? Well, because it helps Santa cope with the cold of this magical night. In addition, a small piece of meat empanada is often left to fill their belly.

In France, for their part, they remember the reindeer by leaving a carrot in their shoe. And cookies for Santa!
