The good weather is coming and the outings with your baby are going to multiply. It's time for a beautiful and proud mother to show off her child. It starts with tupelo, which after giving birth doesn't seem to stop falling, it has lost volume, the ends seem split... And now it can only harm it more. Don't despair. We give you solutions to show off beautiful hair.
1. Split ends
It is the area of the hair that is damaged the most. If they are very damaged, there is no choice but to repair them as soon as possible, cutting them at least one centimeter above where the separation begins. It is the only way to save that hair, otherwise it will continue to open upwards.
It is a good time to give yourself a radical cut, but if you want to continue maintaining the length for some time, try hydrating them with a serum, which although it does not permanently seal them, temporarily nourishes them so that they do not continue to open.
2. Hair loss
- It is normal to lose 35 to 150 hairs a day, but if excessive hair loss occurs, we should consult a specialist and take some home measures.
- It is very good to massage, head down, the scalp with the tips of your fingers, moving them without moving them.
- Complete the treatment with an anti-hair loss shampoo, of which you should always use the smallest amount possible.
- Do not abuse conditioners, masks or fixing products, especially on the roots.
- It is very important to eat a balanced diet that provides carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins.
3. Little volume
It is a frequent problem. To get more volume, it is advisable to always use specific products for this type of hair and apply volumizing foam or gel to the roots. It is better to wear your hair short, at most a medium length, since the weight of the hair itself will flatten it and reduce volume.
A classic trick is to dry it upside down, while lifting the roots a little. At the hairdresser they can do a root lift (a very gentle shaping, only in this area) or put in some extensions.
4. Hair is oilier
Sometimes, oily hair suffers a rebound effect when exposed to the sun and becomes even more oily. The sebaceous glands produce more oil than the hair needs to be well lubricated.
The best remedy is to wash it whenever necessary (even every day) with a shampoo for normal or oily hair, and only apply a mask to the ends (if they need it). Do not touch it with your hands, do not abuse hot water or brushing and avoid hats and caps.
5. Frizzy hair
This is usually curly hair that becomes dehydrated, loses its curl shape and flexibility, and becomes difficult to style. It is necessary to repair the cuticle with nourishing products that restore its flexibility.
The hair is combed after applying a specific mask, which is distributed with a wide-toothed comb or with your hands – lock by lock – massaging the hair from roots to ends to close the cuticle. Avoid straightening irons and the dryer (if used, a heat protectant must be applied to the hair).
6. Gradient color
Due to the sun, hair color (natural or dyed) loses intensity, lightens and shows straw or greenish reflections.
- A color bath is very good for natural hair, with non-permanent products and a good nourishing mask.
- Dyed hair must be nourished before applying the dye with a mask for dyed hair and left to act for a minimum of 10 minutes with heat. To maintain the tone, touch up the roots every month and reapply, throughout the hair, every four months.
7. Hair does not shine
If the hair is dull and lacks shine, it means that the scales are open and, therefore, the cuticle is damaged. To restore shine, you must nourish it thoroughly (with products for dry hair), rinse it with cold water, dry it without scrubbing and, if possible, outdoors, and do not abuse fixing products.
While the hair recovers its natural shine, you can use products that provide it artificially. Or enhance it with a homemade trick, rinsing it with cold water containing lemon or apple cider vinegar.
