Homemade Christmas sweets to make with children: Chocolate nougat 2026

Chocolate nougat is, by far, the favorite of children at Christmas and very easy to make at home. With a few ingredients and a rectangular mold you can enjoy this homemade nougat during these dates.

As always, you can use the type of chocolate that you like the most, but to get the original flavor, we recommend that you use a mixture of dark and milk chocolate. It is preferable, to achieve the most exact result, to use cocoa butter, but sometimes it is not easy to achieve, you can also use lard or even butter in the same proportion as the previous ones. And if you want to add a more personal touch, you can include a handful of almonds or your favorite nut in the recipe. They will love the result!

Although you can make any recipe a very fun time for boys and girls, the sweetest ones tend to be their favorites, especially when it comes time to try them. The most important thing that you should keep in mind when choosing what you are going to cook is that they have the possibility of manipulating the food practically throughout the entire process, so as not to leave space or time for boredom. Also make sure that the recipe is not too complex for them to understand and that they can even try to make it themselves. This way, in addition to having a very special afternoon, you will encourage their independence and they may discover a new activity that they love.
